as mentioned already, the San Diego International or the Carlsbad Triathlon would be great choices.
San Diego International is on June 28th, 1km harbor swim, 30km bike up to Pt. Loma and back with a double loop back up to Pt. Loma. 10km run, point to point around the San Diego harbor. Carlsbad Triathlon is on July 12th and is a 1km ocean swim, 25km bike and 5km run. Both the bike and run are right along the Pacific on Hwy 101 with the road shut down for the race.
