WTF was going on with TO at the aid station....can he not "catch" water bottles (which is what you need to do when moving, and yes, I am monday morning QBing his wide receiver 1 hand ball catching skills)

According to the GPS tracker Jodie Swallow is about 9 seconds behind Ryf. Amazing.

If Ryf ends up with a 5-7 minute lead over the top 10, can any one run her down?

Maybe he's pacing better so he doesn't need to down a two litre of Coke 5 miles into the run....

I don't know if there is any sub 3 hour runners left in the field who can come within 10 min of Ryf into T2. This is hers to lose now.

That was a bizarre sequence. It's like he went delirious for a couple of minutes. Slows down, sits up, grabbing water bottles like he had never done it before.

I don't think she can open up that kind of gap in the remaining miles of the bike. This is gonna be an interesting marathon for both the men's and the women's races.

It appears TO was just asking for the leader board to come up. But he looks very flustered at the moment, dropping bottles all over the place, swerving with his head on a swivel, not the look of someone calm and in control. I say he gets caught very soon, his head is just not right at the moment to be the leader. You lead the race so you don't have to look back..

Strong tailwind. Between Tim, Seb, and Frodo, I wonder if we'll see any records this year.

That was just flat out weird. He did miss a bottle at the previous aid station, so maybe he was just trying to make sure he didn't miss another one?

But the feed also said he was asking for neutral support. Just weird.

I feel bad for Marino, 5 minutes off the front pack. I was really hoping he might have a good year this year and go out on a high.

What's going on with Marino? Just an off day?

He's riding as fast as the leaders so he must have had a poor swim I'm guessing. Strange by TO, almost like he was shocked to be leading

Can we get together some money to buy Jodie Swallow a tighter jersey. She gets to go faster than that ridiculous parachute thingy she's got now. We get to see her in a tight shirt. Win Win
