I vote we pool our resources next year and implement our own live coverage--without these stupid commercials.

Agree. Also, the references to Gatorade Endurance make NASCAR seem subtle.

I was just watching the video and it looked like Jan was totally blown with zero stride length and spring....then I realized he is running up Palani going faster than age groupers running down it!

Watch the Germans. Seriously. Even the commentary makes more sense.

Although you'll have to switch over occasionally to get a bit more of the women's race.

Ralert : 3.38min/km pace = 2.33 marathon (and he started off faster than that if the GPS is accurate)

Greg: Gatorade Endurance is probably the best thing you could have out there, don't you think, Craig?
Craig: Yeah. Another strategy would be to shorten your stride on the uphills
Greg: (looks awkwardly at the camera)

This is the best gatorade infomercial I've ever seen! It almost seems like race coverage rather than an advertisement!

Craig Alexander is not playing along. When they prodded him to extol the benefits of gatorade he did not take the bait.... probably thinking, "They might be paying you but they're not paying me, mate!"

He's gotta be overcooking it somewhat, but he might be in the range to take second. That would be pretty awesome.

Raelert's average pace is skewed a bit because his opening 6k or so was under 3:10/k. Assuming the (last) 30s averages are pretty reliable, until they get pretty deep into the run that's where the interesting data is.

Top 10 getting even more solid, few place changes but players remain the same. 3 from germany, 3 from usa, would be a great cross country race between the two countries at the moment.

TOP 9 Pro Men - at top of Palani - 10.19 mi

1 6:25:40 Jan Frodeno
2 6:28:02 2:23 Timothy O'Donnell
3 6:30:12 4:33 Sebastian Kienle
4 6:31:23 5:43 Andreas Raelert
5 6:32:00 6:20 Ben Hoffman
6 6:32:02 6:23 Eneko Llanos
7 6:32:36 6:57 Frederik Van Lierde
8 6:33:20 7:40 Andy Potts
9 6:33:34 7:54 Tyler Butterfield

be awesome to see sanders run his way into a top 5 off of a disciplined bike . That would be a fantastic debut for him.
