I pulled the trigger on the Castelli San Remo. It was on sale recently as Sigma Sport for $143 USD ($229 Regular). I'm 5'9" and 160lbs. I have broad shoulders, a barrel chest and muscular arms from previous years of weightlifting. I would say that the suit is a very snug fit or race fit for me. I was surprised how low the neck line was on the front and back. Overall, the suit is amazing. I used it on a 63 mile training ride and it felt fast. It really felt great in the legs as they were quite compressive and help stabilize the muscles. The material was very thin especially at the ends of the legs. I'm not sure how it will hold up over time, but I washed the suit in the washing machine as directed and it looks fine.
I can't give a full review, since I have not swam in it. The sleeves are tight so I don't know if it will affect shoulder movement or assist with the pull. I do really like this suit for the price I paid.
Dammit I thought I had a good deal when I got my SanRemo for 21% off from Comp. Cyclist last month, that sigma sport price is $40 better! Agreed though, I really like the suit. Not sure i'm in love with the bottom of the legs as the material is not as soft as what I'm used to but it doesn't bother me while training. The inside of the zipper does annoy a bit, but outside of that I'm loving it more than my Desoto flisuit, which I didn't think was possible.
