You guys are tall

I'm only 5'3.5" (1.61) meters and feel heavy at 145lbs but a lot of my work friends say I'm thin. The guy behind me is like 5'10"

A Lilliputian??!! I'm 1m69, believing that your are 1m72 this makes me just 3cm shorter than you. But I don't believe you are 1m72cm.... ;-)

How can a 53cm P3 frame fit you well? Do you have really short legs? Or did you ask Gerard to make a custom made frame, with a 53cm written on it? :-)

Yep, we run fast and get a really nice draft off of all the "tall" people. The nice thing though is that our bikes weigh less!

Honorary Male Pro: Sergio Maques (squeezes in at 5'9")...hey sergio, this is short for an Ironman pro...

Honorary Female Pro: Natasha (5'3")...and anyone who does kona without base bars to "optimize free speed" is on our team

Team Captain: Francois

Team Body Guard: Bjorn....if you mess with us, we'll send Bjorn to lay his cosmetic bulk into you...so leave us alone

All Star Masters Poser: Dev Paul

Shortwitch Poser starting lineup: Sedi, JarretJ, DavidC, ShawnF, MattinSF, Riceball, CGtriguy, Mark016, jasonogk, trirtuna.

Team Chef: Kittycat (don't know how tall she is, but we need someone to beef up the lilliputs on the team...)

Applications for team shortwitch 2006 are now closed.

Team shortwitch, will be hosting the trade media at the team launch event at a Discotheque in Milano in Q1 2006. The Lion King, Mario Cipolini has graciously agreed to host and coordinate this event, which promises to be colourful.

Noting the high demand for using Shortwitch as a channel for corporate marketing promotion, Team Shortwitch is currently soliciting bids for the following sponsorship roles:
  1. Team Bike Sponsor
  2. Team Wetsuit Sponsor
  3. Official Team Airline
  4. Team Apparel sponsor
  5. Team running shoe sponsor
  6. Official Team Microprocessor
  7. Official Team Internet Sevice and Wireless Provider

The team will also be reviewing the numerous applications that it has received for Directeur Sportif. The early front runners are Pedro Delgado, Lucho Herrera and Greg Welch.

Team Shortwitch is a wholly owned subsidiary of HEADWIND promotions LLC, funded by an assortment of tier 1 Silicon Valley Venture Capitalists, disgusted with the meagre -50% ROI on technology portfolio companies. An Initial Public Offering for Team Shortwitch is projected for Q1 2007 on the NASDAQ.

You're pushing the envelope. We might have to send you to the farm team, unless of course you beat Sergio, then you can take the pro slot on our team.

The Clydesdales get their own category. Maybe we should start petitioning for our own category. What should the cutoff be (no puns intended)

Any Team Shortwitch roster's gotta include Chris V. AKA cvillatri. His nickname is Torito or Little Bull and he didn't get it by being tall and weak. He's maybe 5'4" but he is FREAKISHLY strong and as heavily muscled as he is (big quads, bigger chest) he is still able to run 35ish for his 10K. Oh yeah, he always has a smile on his face and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

LOL!

I was a "Dynamic World Traveler" when I was online.

I used to tell the truth about my height, 5'9", and that is in my barefeet. Evidently all the girls read that as 5'6".

People in the normal population are so used to seeing others as overweight that when someone is in half-way decent shape they think they are skinny.

.

So true. I'm 5'11.5" and ~162 pounds. I've got a nice winter-warm layer of padding around my middle. Bodyfat probably above 18%. Yet people are always telling me how skinny I am. I just think, "You have no idea..."

I should be racing at about 152 pounds. But the coffee shop across the street has started making this shortbread...they manage to get 3 oz of butter into a 2 oz piece of shortbread...I just cannot say no.
