I broke a spoke in my rear 404 (2002 model) at a a race on the weekend. Obviously I don't want this to happen again. Should I just replace that spoke or is it an overreaction to get it rebuilt?

JW, sorry to hear about your problem, I can assure you that this is not too common, so we normally tend to go a bit overboard whenever somebody does have a problem. I suggest you call one of our customer service folks at: 800.472.3972 tomorrow morning and talk it through with them. There are only a couple of reasons spokes break, so they can talk you through the wheel's history and try to best diagnose the cause and then determine if it needs to be replaced, or if we should rebuild it.
If it is easier, you can drop it off at your local dealer and we can solve this through them.
