Not an amateur question at all.
And the answer is sometimes, yes. When people get going and ride with power they often change where they sit on the saddle. And sometimes fit changes need to be made to accommodate that movement. Others might even change where they sit on the saddle only when they are outside (seen it a few times but it's not that common, from what I've seen) versus on the trainer.
But most of the time, anatomical saddles will encourage a rider to stay put because it hurts in every position except the one the rider likes. So a quick look like those offered in this thread can be pretty informative.
One other note - occasionally I'll see a rider that, over a longer period of time (months or even years) has changed where they like to sit. And that means the fit needs to change to accommodate. It's why it's a good idea to get refit every now and then.
