What are people's opinion of these are? The have some of the highest TPI (440) and are super light. The only downside I see is that they are expensive? Anything else I should know ie reliable? Anyone know where i can get them?

Thanks,

Mike

Don't know yet. I put them on my Reynolds Stratus wheelset, but I won't try them out until the weather is a bit nicer in Cleveland, Ohio. I've run the S3 Lite's the last 2 seasons and loved them.

Tufo makes high quality tires. Asking if they are good is a very subjective question. They are good for the right application. If you do the urban pothole glassfest triathlon, they are probably not good. Lightness in tires is usually related to less rubber/protective belts on the casing. If the roads are smooth and not too glass infested you can probably get away with a lighter tire like the Hi-Ti without too much worry.

I have had pretty good luck with the S 3 model for on the road and track. Off the top of my head it is 22mm at 195g (I think) I am a larger rider so I never go with the 19mm size anymore. I think the regular Jet tire is a pretty solid tire as well.
