For my next 70.3 I was considering using the xlab tt water bottle and mount it horizontally to my top tube. I would put SIS gels in there and consume intermittently throughout the ride. In doing this I was hoping to not have to mess with opening gel packets and I really like the isotonic solution. I wasn't planning on using any other nutrition than this and BTA water bottles. Does anyone run this setup on their top tube? Does it leak? Will my frame be a sticky mess by the end? I ride a gen 2 speed concept, should I just mount inside the triangle? Any other solutions or ideas out there? Thanks for your help.
