tire size question
I found a cheap tire at the LBS today and thought it would be good to use on the trainer. Not paying attention to size I bought a 700 x 28c, the tires on my bike are 700 x 23c. It fits, but I took it for a quick spin and it feels a little unstable...has some wobble to it. I don't know a whole lot on the subject and was wondering if this tire will work.

AFAIK most road rims will take tires between 19mm and 25mm wide. I've never tried a 28mm tire.

I have seen some cheap tires that need some extra work to get them seated on the rim straight. Look and make sure that the bead is even all the way around the rim.

The wider size is not causing the wobble. But some cheap tires have seating issues and sometimes have unevenly placed casings, belts, and/or treads which will cause the perception of wobble on a trainer.
