Grand scheme of life, does it really matter. So the guy is using toe clips. SO WHAT. He likes the bike and he is not comfortable with clip-in pedals. Just be glad that he is on the bike, being health, staying fit and not contributing to being a typical overweight american.

Kerri, there is always something odd on a bike for the most part. My favorite. Buying a stupid light tri bike then adding 4 water bottles, a bento box, taping 2 tubies and tools to the seat and taping 20 gels to the top tube. Just do not get that but to each their own.

I guy we know has an expensive tri bike and only rides/races with toe clips. He only does sprint duathlon events and claims that the time he saves not having to change shoes in transition makes up more than what he would lose by not riding clipless.

I live in south, south, aouth orange county and I see a guy riding a p3 with toeclips - usually without a helmet.
