suggestions for mountain bike tires
i'm looking for any opinions on mountain bike tires, specifically to both race and train in. i would like to preferably run tubeless tires as they are somewhat lighter, and i dont have the coin to upgrade my wheels as of now. in the past i've had reasonable success w/ the IRC Serac XC's and the panaracer cinder 2.2's. i've also tried the panaracer fire xc's, and while they were good in mud, it felt like the sidewalls would slip in corners. for reference, i live on the east coast and ride on very technical single track, that is sometimes muddy, but always very rooty and rocky. i'm looking for something w/ a width of 2.1 w/ relatively low rolling resistance that will also perform in the above conditions. so let's hear your opinions!

I'm running 2.1 Kenda Kharismas in conditions similar to what you ride in. I've tried this post here before and there aren't to many mtbrs on the forum. go to mtbr.com and post there, you'll get lots of responses. or even better, just search the old posts...

It sounds like the tire you are looking for is the Kenda Nevegal 1.95 http://www.kendausa.com/...cfm?pr=144&cat=1 . It has a large volume casing and rides like a wider tire. It was recently ranked number one by Mountain Bike Action magazine and is perfectly suited for your riding conditions. We've been racing on them since they came out this summer and they are awesome tires.
