Does anybody know if anyone makes a spare specific tubular tire? I can't find anything and would have thought that there would be a tire out there that is only good for a back up. If not, can anyone recommend a good spare tubular? I don't feel like dropping a lot of dough for a spare tubie.

I just use tires from yellowjersey.org. It's hard to beat ~$16/each when you buy three.

I use what I ride with. Why put one on just to get home and change it again?

The spare wont be properly glued, so you have to take it off and reglue it anyway.
I typically use a tire that I deem to be not race worthy, ie one where the mileage is pretty high, even though I haven't flatted.
If I was to buy a new tire for a spare I'd go on ebay and buy a TUFO S3 lite 145 or 165. The numbers refer to the weight. They are very light and can be folded up very small. TUFOs also rarely flat so you don't have to worry about the dreaded second flat in a row. With all the criticism of there rolling resistance they can be pretty cheap.
