installing Dia-Compe 188 brakes
I am finally in the final phases of building up a bike dedicated for my events.

I am installing a Profile cowhorn bar with these brake levers. The way they are designed with respect to the exit holes for the brake cable leads me to this question-

Is there any unforeseen disaster looming if I install the lever marked "R" in the left hand side and vice-versa?

I ask because as they are designed, this opposite configuration should result in a cleaner and straighter path for the brake housing/cable exiting the lever back to the bar.

Thanks in advance.

I have three bikes with them mounted backwards for the same reason. Been that way for years. No problems at all.

Aloha,
