I have a IF steel frame, and used weigle's frame saver in the seat tube for years. It became unavailable*, so I switched to ProGold steel frame protector ... which I found is like tree sap, even if it's been give a generous curing period following application. Even if the seat post post is greased, or only in for a few days, it seems like it gets welded in there by this stuff.
Any suggestions of what I could use to remove any trace of it from the seat tube? It also has the benefit of seeping out when the bike is stored upside-down, and dripping down to leave a sap coating on the saddle.
Tried requesting help from Progold, but no reply.
*apparently it's now made by Problem Solvers
