deciding between tri clubs
i just completed my first sprint tri a few weeks ago! i am totally hooked and i just signed up for another tri. i've been training on my own and for the next season i want to join a tri club. my dilemma is that there are two tri clubs in my area and i'm not sure how to decide between the two. are there any tips, things to look for and keep in mind while i'm trying to decide?

Since there is only one Tri club in my area, I don't have your dilemma. But, if I was you, I would attend a function or two of each club as a guest, and see which one I liked best. Some clubs may be hard-core work-out-aholics, and others may be more fun oriented. Just depends on what you want. Also, it helps (being a newbie as you are and relative newbie that I am) if the other members are helpful, instructive, and friendly. If you find a group of folks you like, you will be more apt to stick with the program.

Like mentioned above, go to a function and some workouts with both clubs and see who you get on with better. Or, if you like both, join both clubs. I belong to two different tri clubs, plus ride a little with a separate cycling team. Always good to have lots of workout options.
