I swore that I would play hockey untill I was too old to skate, and then I'd take up the piano. I got into triathlon to lose weight and get into better shape.

I haven't played in a league in 2 years now.

Take a break, refresh both your mind and your body...and crush your drunk friends on the slopes. When you start going stir crazy from not riding, running or swimming...its time to start training for next year...for me...that's maybe a week...certainly two weeks at the longest.

Yes. We are all a bit looney here.

My friday night was spent in the pool. Came home had a glass of wine and went to bed. My next race is also in June.

It's similar to having kids. Before kids you hang out with people that don't have kids, go out and do things with people that don't have kids, etc. Once you start having kids, you start hanging out with other people that have kids. No more crazy drinking party nights out at he young peoples singles bars (well, maybe just a few of these but certainly many less than before).

Your definition of "I had a great day today" totally changes.

My definition of a great day?

Wake up before the sun or anybody else gets up, totally clear head, early morning workout, totally focused day at work, healthy eating, afternoon workout, hanging with the family @ night, early to bed.

...AND damn proud of it!!!

Looks like you have a long distance aquarunning buddy! Not a club any of us want to be in!

Another tri junkie needs their fix.

My golf clubs look at my bikes with envy. I wonder if it's like Woody and Buz in Toy Story.

Definitely not. I swim though, I get a better workout than water running. Aquarunning bores the hell out of me.

But I'll join you on the Injured Bench :(
