bike basics
I have a question about what to take on a ride and race. I have been mountain biking for years and never really worry about caryying extra tubes, co2, tools, but now that i am getting in road riding I think it's time i start.

What are the basics I should have on bike at all times?

road and mtb?

I agree with Tom's kit, however, I would not be scared to bring along a minipump in your back pocket (just in case). I also think that a small multitool is essential so you at least have allen wrenches and can fix a broken chain.
