brutal crowd today. i interpret this as don't ask for bike fit advice unless you're willing to share sexual exploits. and they'd better be good ones.

[snip] = i'm not quoting anything. sort of meaningless, or superfluous, just picked it up somewhere a decade ago or something.

See all those spacers beneath your stem. TAKE THEM OFF. You will be lower and likely more aerodynamic.

I don't know ish but here it goes. If you raise your aerobars any higher you'll be able to go sailing. Get them horizontal. If reach is an issue bring them in a bit. Remove the spacers one at a time as your fitness improves. Low is good unless your back is trashed. Get-low, get-lowwwww.

Now... what's the white stuff near the blue covers, eew? That stuff on the heater/ac is a hazard. Clean up and repost after you get a lawn mower for those legs. ;-) Nice bike.

Looks like your aerobars are tilted up. Make them more level and your can get some better leverage. My back and neck hurt when I had mine tilted, leveling them out helped

Lower yeah, and probably more aerodynamic but he should be comfortable as well right? If he's not then being aerodynamic probably doesn't matter much "spacer police" :-)

[snip] is an old Usenet shorthand for indicating that content has been removed from a quoted posting. Sorta like this:

You're an idiot.

The <snip> bit shows that you removed something irrelevant to your response, both to save space (remember slow dialups?) and to avoid having someone accuse you of taking things surreptitiously out of context.

As you lower your front end, if it feels like your back is too bent, you can slide your seat forward a little to keep the angle of your hip and torso more open. So if you visualize rotating your body clockwise around the bottom bracket keeping all the joint angles constant, this is what you're trying to achieve. As you rotate forward, you'll be sitting less on your sit bones and more on your tender bits on the nose of the saddle. Sitting like this will flatten your back and make your chest feel more open. Working on gluteal, hamstring and low back flexibility and doing consistent core exercises will help make riding lower more comfortable. be sure to check out each incremental change on the road as some things that feel ok on a trainer feel bad on the road.
