Did my first running road race in 4 years tonight, was jsut under 10k, and this was my third time running sense aug. went out with the guys in front and tried to hold on. two of them got away from me about half way through and one guy trucked on through me just before that.

with about 2 miles left i could see one guy about 200 feet behind me, and i decided i was not going to let him pass me. i pushed it out though and held on for 4th, averaged right around 6:40 miles. not blazing but for a non-running like me i was happy and it was a lot of fun, and afterwards they had some nice awards, i won a fila running shirt and a backpack, and the top 3 got free shoes.
