In a recent news-release sent by USA Triathlon, there is reference to annual membership fees increasing from $30 per year to $39 per year; and one day fees increasing from $9 to $10. I presume this increase is due to increased insurance premiums and the additional costs of programs within USAT.

Will this increase adversely affect the sport; race directors conducting races; and/or athletics having overall sticker shock at the cost of being a participant in the sport?
