Hey there everyone,
So I am in a situation where I do not know wether or not I want to keep my coach. I am 20 and in college Last season was my first in Triathlon and I only had about six months to train before my A race. The season went well as far as I am concerened I finished my race in low 2:20's (oly dis.) and came in 30th overall 11th outta 27 in my age group. I can attribute my succes at least in part to the guidence of my coach who's workout program I followed very closely. On the other hand one of the main reasons I choose the coach that I did was because his program included unlimited contact w/ him. This, however, has not been the case. In general I find him hard to get in touch with and talk to him maybe once every other week. I often feel like somewhat of an afterthought to whatever else he is doing. While his workouts seem good the rest of the package seems to be lacking. For example my running pace seems to have slowed compared to last season and he assured me that this was normal but that was it and the only explinations I get about my why I am doing my workouts come written on the plan. I feel as though I have a shot to be at least pretty decent at this sport but would like to learn while I am training from an experianced athlete not just be told what to do.
Sorry for the long post
Thnx
Dan
