Bi-lateral breathing breakthrough
Recently I started working on bi-lateral breathing and was a little surprised to learn just how unbalanced my stroke is/was until I started breathing to both sides. I have been a right side breather, well forever, so naturally I have had some issues in breathing to the left but i was surprised to see it wasn't so much getting the breathe that was the issue while trying not to suck in the entire pool but rather my stroke was so imbalanced. It seemed like every time I would breathe to the left it was like I was suddenly swimming through syrup. I just couldn't maintain any sort of form while breathing to the left. I knew my stroke favored the right but dang I had know idea it was that bad.

So anyway I have worked on it a decent amount recently and it has made a HUGE difference in swimming overall but the biggest change has been my ability to actually swim a straight line in open water. Also starting to see the lap times drop little by little.
