I have a 2011 p4
With the brake at the widest (cable not clamped at all) there is less than 1mm either side with regular Swiss stop pads. I'd imagine you need to shave down the pads to make it work well.
Furthermore, there is less braking leverage when the arms are farther out.
Edited to add: this is with a 808 firecrest clincher rear

Looking at the Zipp specs, the brake track width on the clinchers is 24.73mm and on the tubular is 26.04mm so there would be near zero clearance each side. 404 tubular is 25.34mm so a little more clearance there. It doesn't look like the 808 tubular will fit without shaving the pads. How much clearance can you gain doing this?
Depends on how much you are willing to shave I guess. Probably 2mm each side.
