ZIPP 909 Front - Valve Extender Question
The front wheel of the ZIPP 909 uses a valve extension, thus the valve from the tubular fits into this. My wheels came all glued so no point pulling them apart to inspect. I gather the valve thread is not tightened on the inside to allow inflation. Does anybody know if it is possible to tighten the valve screw to stop possible slow leaks or maybe if you know of a better trick or way? Thanks for any help!

We do not tighten the valve screw, in fact we back it off and crimp it so it does not travel down, which would not allow you to fill the tire up. Yes, air will leak out over time, but the pressure will hold up for the race.

Thanks Mark.
If you don't mind one more question... It says on ZIPP website that you need to use the special carbon brake blocks but on the bicyclesports.com site it says in the ZIPP info box no special pads are needed. If I use std. Dura Ace pads will that be OK or should I rather use the special carbon ones?
