Wingspan on a HOT sprint
Did a small sprint a few weeks ago with the grate on and the tail covered- did not overheat...I have a race this weekend where it will be last wave (8:45 if I am lucky) and heat index prediction of 105...open all the vents and tail cover or is the tradoff in time too great...Last year in similar conditions my Giro was hot and I kinda got cooked...

The variable venting is the BEST thing about the Wingspan, and what makes it the best aero helmet in my experience. Press on!

The RP Wingspan has MUCH better venting than the Giro. It's a sprint, so you won't need a full bottle on the bike, use the rest to spray your head through the back vents while looking down. Ignore the above advice if you are planning on carrying Gatorade.
