Yesterday I snapped the stainless wipperman chain on my nine speed Ultegra road bike. Odd, as I'm nobody's powerhouse cyclist and the chain is not even 1000 miles old. Today I set about fixing the darn thing and found two other cracked side plates. Time for something new and improved.

Would you, knowledgable cyclist, recommend a non-stainless version of the wipperman, or something completely different...like that nifty SRAM.
