Will this fit my Hub?
Hey all I need the help of someone smarter than me when it comes to hub/cassette compatIbility.

Looking to do some updating on my MTB.

I have a 2012 Rockhopper (https://www.specialized.com/...n/rockhopper/p/35075) linked here for specs. It currently has a 3x9 shimano drivetrain.

I would like to change it to a 1x10 or even better possibly a 1x11 as I have enjoyed a 1x setup on my TT bike off an on.

SO my question is can I do that with any of the following?

I am confident that this will fit my current wheelset. [SunRace 10s Group]([https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/...oupset/rp-prod183194)

I would prefer to go 11 speed if possible without getting new wheels.

would this [Sunrace 11s Group](https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/...oupset/rp-prod186872 ) or this [Box Two 11s groupset](https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/...oupset/rp-prod186872) work on my current wheel set?

Any input would be appreciated.

Both the 10 and 11 speed groups are designed to work on your bike. Both probably will. The cassettes will fit the standard free hub body that came with your rear hub currently running 9 speed.
However, on some frames, hubs, and wheels, especially older designs, there can be interferences between the biggest cassette ring and the spokes of the wheel. Sometimes chain stay design and length can also hamper proper shifting indexing. Other small inconsistencies just due to the frame being designed in an era of smaller rear gear ranges due to 3x and 2x front rings.
Unfortunately only way to 100% know is to try.
Sunrace is a pretty reputable brand, IMHO.
Never seen the other group out in the wild.

Good luck, have fun!
