Will Beloki Be-lucky?

What do you think the chances are that Beloki will do well this race season?

Does he have a chance to win the tour this year?

I hope that I am wrong about this but I think his career is over; based on last years results and what i have read about him so far this year I don't think he will ever recover enough from that horrible crash to be competitive again.

Its a shame because he sure did have a lot of talent.

He's lost time in the mountains in his early season races, but it takes years to build up to that elite level, and a comparitively short amount of time to lose it. I think that Beloki is looking to be on form again in 2006... he needs to get back to his best racing condition.

FWIW, the results that I saw showed him finishing mid-pack on the climbing stages. Not the Beloki of old, but it is Feb and you don't know what self-imposed (for the purposes of training) caps he was operating under.
