Why was Muskoka 10 minutes faster this year?
Was checking out the times for the Muskoka LC...seems times were generally about 10 minutes faster for '05 versus '04. Anyone have any idea why? Course change?

The course was the same. I think the conditions were similar. I was marginally faster on the bike but slower on the run, to be slightly slower overall. Janathan Balabuck was also very close to his time from 04.

I was around 7 min faster, but I have also been going a lot better in all my sports this year. I do think that the biking conditions were ~ 2min in faster than the last few years. As Eric said, the course was identical.

My girlfriend was 10+ minutes faster this year. But she has been crushing all of her course PR's this season. I attribute this to better fitness ad smarter racing.

Fleck...I thought it was better coaching...(at least for the bike-run) :-)

It's not that complicated - JFT!

I think that it's the simplicity of it all that gets everyone confused.

Agreed, it really is simple. Just put one foot in front of the other for 1-6 hours per day and repeat over and over :-)
