I can't believe no one has commented on this?! :-)

I have a PS4, but can't imagine playing games on it while I ride, even in Zone 2. Maybe I'm not that coordinated. What kind of games are you playing?

Had 3 hours yesterday, so watched BET's New Edition mini-series (was on On Demand). Just happened to be three hours long -- pretty standard biopic stuff, but with some fun music to round things out.

Looking for trainer tv suggestions.

The ITU races. $20 per year and you can rewatch all races.
Rest of the time it's podcasts. Flip between podcast during easy stuff to very specific music during hard intervals

How do I sign up for this? Checked ITU website and can figure out how to get previous races.

I’ve been watching a lot of UCI cross country mountain biking on RedBull tv, they have the last 4 or 5 seasons. Good way to kill 90 minutes or so. I have it on my Roku but I’m sure it’s available on most of those type of devices.

Really digging the German detective series that are on Netflix and Amazon Prime right now.

Great tradition of Krimis. Always feature a troubled detective or two with a dark past and relationship problems. The bad guys are always great and usually less screwed up than the good guys. Actors aren't chosen for generic good looks either. Germany produces fantastic older character actors. Germans can get a bit extreme and crude in some of the scenes and dialogue, but there are always a few hardcore existential conversations that one would never see in any English language show. Makes for an interesting contrast.

Deutschland 86, Berlin Babylon, Dogs of Berlin, 4 Blocks are all recommended

Today I watched a two-hour C-Span conference in which Vladimir Putin answered questions from reporters from all over the world.

Don't watch that.

Trainer season is winter sport season.

So as a winter sport enthusiast I watch anything from alpine skiing over XC to biathlon.

I also like to read magazines.

World Cup XC races are a great way to kill 90 minutes, and they're usually available within 24 hours: http://www.crosscountryski.us

I have a decent collection of Sufferfest videos. That's my go to. I think I enjoy the music as much as the footage.

A good season of Friday Night Lights is my second go-to.

Lately I’ve been watching redbull.tv. I don’t really have to pay attention to it, but it gives me something to look at besides a blank wall.

Fyi, don’t watch porn on the trainer.

You’re welcome ;-)

Big fan of rugby union. A game with lots of pauses, scrum resets, line outs etc. 15 mins tempo before, after and during half time. During each half go above FTP during pauses, sit up and watch during play.

Cracking session and you see the entire game.

PS injury breaks and scrums being reset multiple times really hurt....

As an increasingly weird nerd... I’ve started watching lots of anime. It’s high action and has a “must train harder” attitude. Don’t judge...

I still lapped everyone on the couch!

Like a few others have mentioned, I’ve picked up redbull tv lately.

That said, I have NBCsports gold and FloSports cycling to watch as much CX races as possible. There are tons of Belgium races the next few weeks!

You Tube the UCI World Marathon MTB Championships from last August. Beautiful scenery in the Dolomites, and a great race. It'll make two plus hours pass pretty fast. Alternatively, any of the UCI Cyclo Cross World Cup events are very good trainer entertainment.

Excellent show: The Good Place

Great show: Riverdale. Don't dismiss it because "it's just the Archie characters"; it's a deep and well-written if still guilty-pleasure show.

Very good: Lost in Space (new version)

Funny-serious and good: Insatiable, Santa Clarita Diet

Those are all Netflix, though Riverdale and The Good Place are also on Hulu.

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that speed, for lack of a better word, is good. Speed is right, Speed works. Speed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.
