"Age group winner" means the fastest overall finisher who was racing as an age grouper (not in the elite/pro category). So the rankings have nothing to do with the winners of each 5 year age group.

Your rankings calculator values didn't show up in the post, but the calculation should be simple:

Ranking points = .96 * (120.583/160.383) *100 =72.177

.96 is the race factor

120.583 is the amateur winner's time in decimal form

160.383 is your time in decimal form

Maybe you were forgetting the race factor??

I am pretty sure that 'AG winner' is supposed to refer to YOUR AG. Otherwise the rankings make almost no sense (look at multiple AGs in 2004).

Nope.

As long as you get the ranking factor correct, it worked out perfectly!!

Do not do a small race with a super super fast person if you care about your ranking and you are not this person. :o)
