Tubular Glue or 3M weatherstrip adhesive?

I have used both in the past (to glue a tubular)....any wisdom here?

Conventional wisdom and common sense would have you use a tubular tire glue to glue a tubular tire. I believe Vittoria's Mastik One is about as strong as you can get.

You might consider using Tufo tubular glue strips: upside, application is much easier/cleaner. Downside, when it comes time to change a worn tubular that has been secured with Tufo glue strips. I am told (and have read) that it is quite an exercise to remove the glue residue before applying a new glue strip which I will probably have to deal with in another 2-3 months of road racing on my American Classic carbon tubulars!
