Tour of California in the roads around ST HQ now
Quote | Reply
So it's 2:36 California time and if you're watching the Tour of California live http://tourtracker.amgentourofcalifornia.com/ you'll see the peloton roll right past Slowtwitch head quarters as it heads up towards the finish at Mountain High. There's some great riding in that area and the ToC will highlight much of it today.

Commence the depression when comparing their time up the climb to my own.

pretty cool. i rode up to the top, that is, i slogged and slugged up to the top, then watched those guys coast up. warm day. i saw tiago machado at the top. i asked him what was harder, this stage today or the queen stage up mt. hamilton and diablo. he couldn't choose. of course, he almost couldn't breathe.

the coolest part was seeing so many people ride up our little hill. i saw more people ride up that hill today than total in the 12 years we've lived here. it was like a gran fondo, a constant stream.

Maybe you can count Rapp doing repeats on your hill to bump up your 12 year quota though!

It looked familiar I thought. Minus the snow that is.
