Video quality and the WTC production budget seems to have gone up again this year. Good stuff.

This is excellent. Good graphics too.

I saw a couple photos from the start on Facebook and it looked like a beautiful morning. 15 minutes.

This Dave lad, the new announcer, is very, very good.

Jeez- it's beautiful there...

I'm watching the universal sports feed. Is it all the same feed?

The feeds are identical. Universalsports.com coverage is simply embedded into the Ironmanlive.com page.

I think the only feed is the official WTC/Ironman feed.

Agreed. This is awesome and the live blog along the side is a nice touch for added instant info - like the bit about Alexander forgetting to go over the timing mat! Hopefully that is the worst hiccup for his day!

"We just learned that Craig Alexander and Luke McKenzie had to sprint back to the shore because they had forgot to go over the timing mat this morning."

Have a fun day CLM.

I really dont like the paddleboarders at the start. When the gun goes off and the boards turn, they just get in the way. I hope they stay out of the way this year.

The overhead view looks a little weird with so few swimmers in the water for the pros. The "real" start is the Age groupers. They're off!

Do you notice a lag between the video feed and what is being blogged? People posting pics of the race starting before the video was there? Weird.

Please tell me its not going to be Welchy and Michlle Jones all day??? As much as I like them as people, I miss Huddle and Babbitt. Also, is there a way to make the vidio go full screen? I see they changed the look and I can't see how to make the vidio pane full screen.

I think they have a fairly decent commentary team today. The lad on the desk with Greg Welch seesm quite good so far.

I found a fullscreen button kind of hidden on the bottom right corner of the window. It was really hidden and just a very thin portion of the top of the button but I clicked it and it went full screen. Blame it on Silverlight.

Click to the right of the volume control. It took me a few tries to find it.
