Did Lieto just miss the bike record by 10 seconds?

IronmanLive has his split listed as 4:18:31

According to wikipedia, in 2006 Stadler rode 4:18:23

yikes - that's fast

*edit - i'm awful at math

So has Crowie gone too hard? Props to McKenzie he had a solid ride, lets see what he can do on the run now.

Alexander putting a head-move on VanH with a pass in transition? Nice.

Wow, so it seems that Lieto has rode his typical ride and the others just went harder. Will be interesting to see if Crowie can run as well after riding that hard.

Craig is going to break 8 hours. This is going to be crazy...but I think he's got it with a low 2:40 mary

crazy good split by Crowie. He is the man to beat. Maybe a 26 mile war between him and VanH.

I know its tough to do live, but my favorite line so far is "We still have some athletes coming in to transition" after 5 of 2300 are in ;-)

LVL's record could go down today....if the conditions are OK, could we see sub 8 today? 5:20 out of transition....

You are right, Lieto doesn't look good.

But -talking about his chance- Matt was very objective, basically saying straight out forward that he doesn't stand a chance with that lead.

I think it's crowie's race to lose.
