Why did they put Michelle (sp?) back in the booth!? She just doesn't seem to have a very smooth delivery... to say the least.

"In the lead group of men right now we have Alexander, Vanhoenacker, Al-Sultan, Raelert. 10 seconds behind them is Chris Lieto."

That's what they are reporting..

The running is what we are speculating, since the fast runners are biking in FRONT together...

Sorry, too hard to get ST on the Android phone.

Just a feeling. I think some of the gals are starting to believe that they can beat her.

I'm heading back to T2. Hope I don't have a busy day in the penalty tent.
assuming she is injured from her crash i'm surprised she started...she didn't last year

In case you were wondering...

A lot less power spikes up over 300 and 400 for the men now. Regardless of what the announcers are calling, most top male pros are averaging 250-300 for the entire ride. Maybe 3-5 of them riding low 3s. Weiss, Lieto etc. Don't think that a small, aero, well positioned male can't have an excellent bike at less than 250 average watts. i.e Cam Brown.

writing your family members names on the helmet is the key for a fast bike ride ;-\)

hold this pace? he's pumping the same watts as before...must be the new bike :) (I have no idea what power he's pushing, but I bet its close to what he's done in the past)

His new equipment likely is saving him at least 15 watts or more than .5 mph. At least. Alexander for the W today.

Don't think so. He said he was going to push on the bike more this year. Also didn't want to get stuck in a group behind fast runners where everybody expected him to close every gap for 112 mile...
