Looks like conditions are about as good as you can get at Kona. Only 10 mph breeze expected and high of 88

Looks like they are using LiveStream. So as opposed to years back we were able to rewind anytime during the stream. Would've been handy for people that may have been busy in the morning and missing the swim/bike. Anyone know is this is still possible? Or is this perhaps being recorded by Livestream for later viewing?

Shame...wanted to see an uber-biker go for broke....

On the upside - someone might go sub 8.

Streaming thru iPad and Apple TV on the big screen. Sync slightly off (audio/video) but that should be NBD.

Trying to get used to Welch saying "Konerrr" 5x per minute.

Anyone know if there is any online telemetry as per last year showing stats from the bike leg e.g. power etc? Also, last year they had GPS info overlaying the course so you could see where everyone was.

I can't believe DirkB broke his hand when out training. OK, accidents happen but pretty poor IMO for a professional to screw up his chances like that right before the biggest race of the year....a real shame.

What is "poor" it? Is he supposed to not train for a month?

No, but not make basic mistakes. Not much point doing any amount of training if you screw up your chances in the final week.

And relatively low humidity (50-60%)... looks like its going to be a fast day for the runners.

Angie is all looks and should not be in the commentary booth. I hope she speaks to a minimum and doesn't act as the resident 'expert' on the women's race.
