TdF touring companies - recommendations?
I'm gonna go watch the tour this year. Any recommendations on companies that provide the whole package (travel, lodging, supported rides, et cetera)? There are a bunch out there, I want to know which ones are good.

I very highy recommend Lawrie, Natalie and Stevo and Bikestyle Tours. I've gone with them twice and will go with them again in the future. Ride the course, meet the riders and past pros, excellent support, the Aussies are the best!

Bonus points for anyone who knows who these two ex-Tour riders are.

Thanks for the recommendation. $4,500US sounds pretty reasonable for the 15 day trip.

Talk to Kim at Dudegirl.com. They have trips following the Tour that focus on the Alps and the Pyrenees. Highend trips with first class dining. These folks are great.

Checked his stuff out. I'm interested in a longer trip, and to use Marty's crew it'd require signing up for two trips at a cost of about $8k.

With a little bit of research and net surfing you might arrange to do your own trip.

It is not that hard and you will see that tons of people are doing just that. All you need to do to book your accomodations according to which stages you want to watch and get a rental car.

You will save a ton...However if you want to do it with a company most of the American companies who are doing TDF trips are way more expensive than European counterparts.Take a look at: www.sportingtours.co.uk

There is a fully supported 12 day trip for less than $3000.00 on their site.

I go ride in Riccione Italy every year fully supported all the meals included less than $100.00 a day.

Good Luck have fun.
