My first kids race as an RD was the 1996 event just the week before the World's in Muncie. My then 8 year old daughter did the race as her fist event ever in any sport.

Still one of the top 10 moments of my life.

Every triathlete in the county needs to volunteer at one kids race per year. It does not get any better.

I put on a lot of adult races over the years, but i bet nothing beats the satisfaction you get putting on kids events. Good for you guys, you got me thinking here..(-;

AWESOME. We will be registering just after the ball drops New Years Eve. (and I may even sneek in an adult registration for Toughman :)

I am pleased to announce the NEW Muncie TOUGHKids triathlon that will take place on July 7th 2012 in Muncie IN. We are happy to have Muncie Multisports join the TOUGHKids family and become our newest series qualifier. This adds to our NEW Ridgefield TOUGHKids triathlon (Ct) and existing: Black Bear TOUGHKids (NJ), Minimossman (Norwalk Ct), and Westpoint TOUGHKids (NY). This year we expect the TOUGHKids series Championship race that will take place on Sept 8th in NY to have 800 racers!

I am also pleased to announce our NEW TOUGHTeen triathon for ages 15-19 years old. The teen racers will swim-300 yrds, bike- 6m, and run 2.5m.

Muncie ToughKids registration is now open on our Muncie Multi-Sport web page and is the day after the 1/2 in Muncie hosted by the wonderful folks in Tampa. Featured is the 4-6 year old's with parents assistance throughout.

Only 4 weeks to go until the first race in the Toughkids triathlon series, the Ridgefield Toughkids triathlon! The race is almost filled to capacity so if you want your kids to race sign up soon.
