Swimming Hip Balance - Video
Another really quick video here regarding swimming hip balance, one of the most important parts of an efficient swim stroke and sometimes really simple to fix. Having good hip balance can help you engage your core and lats in your swim stroke, instead of putting all the work on your shoulders. A lot of athletes get out of balance simply because of simple breathing issues. While I personally don't think it's necessary for triathletes to do a lot of hypoxic or breathing drills (eg a 400 breath 3/5/7/9 by 50), I do think being able to breath to both sides is vitally important to 1. swim technique and balance and 2. race day. I know this is a complicated topic and I don't go into a ton of detail in the video, so feel free to post questions!
