Swim specific coach in East Bay, SF Bay Area?

Anyone have recommendation for adult swim coach to specifically improve my freestyle form for IM 70.3/IM training?

Some BG: learned how to swim as a kid but never swam competitively, just started learning again in Jan as an adult with a local adult swim coach in prep for my first triathlon event which was Ironman 70.3 in Morro Bay (Finished 45:32 on the swim portion) and 5:35:02 overall.

My tri coach is great and his subscribed workouts which are interval based have been helpful but I feel like my form is still very much off (not getting early vertical forearm, not enough rotation / high elbows catch, etc) which is holding me back in my weakest discipline.

Ideally someone based in the east bay who I can meet with once or twice a week to just focus on f/c form.

Hey there,
I'm based out of Washington State for the summer, but will be back in the East Bay in August and then for the rest of the year in September. Feel free to reach out via DM!

You might like Coach Alex Kang: https://www.coachkang.com/

He's really excellent, very patient, and gives great feedback from the deck. He's very easy to work with and super knowledgable. He coaches the Silicon Valley Tri Club podium workouts and several other master's workouts around the Bay Area. You should be able to contact him via his website.

I'm also looking for a swim coach in East Bay. I swim in Walnut Creek and have considered private lessons at Clarke Memorial Pool. I've seen the instructor doing private lessons in reserved lanes. But I haven't seen him give lessons to triathletes, mostly kids since swimming is mega popular out here.

I've also considered trying to capture my own footage and sending it to one of those services that analyzes swim technique.

Last, I had 1:1 coaching last year and my coach came with me to the pool once. Unfortunately, it wasn't super useful; either he wasn't a great instructor or he was overwhelmed by how bad a swimmer I was and didn't know where to start.

Hey- I am in Oakland and can meet up to help. I am a former D1 swimmer, I coach a few triathletes, and I've taught/coached swimming from little kids to high school teams to adults. Send me a message if you are interested.
