So - Suunto have announced their Spartan Ultra replacement. DC Rainmaker has done his customary excellent preliminary hands-on, and it's looking like the watch the Spartan Ultra (which I use) should have been, plus wrist HR and some very interesting non-GPS tracking.

Anyone keen? Ray mentioned that Suunto hope to make it the best open water tracking watch on the market by leveraging the new tracking tech...and this is about the one thing that really caught my attention. No music with horribly painful sideloading, no built-in payment systems I'll never use...it almost seems encouraging.
