Re: So how slow ARE Gatorskins? [LarryCalifornia]

Dont have hard numbers but they feel slower for sure. Been using them all winter and suffered only flat (touch wood I dont get one tonight) Definitely when compared to Michelin Pros. They feel stiff and slow but better than getting a flat in the dark and cold for us who live up north

No hard numbers, but they definitely feel slow don't they? That doesn't bother me so much as how skiddish they are compared to a confidence inspiring Forteza Tri-Comp while descending.

I use them exclusively for training and while they do feel a little sluggish compaired to conti 3000's or Vittoria CX's, they have a relatively nice, slightly tacky/sticky feel. I was on the Michelin Carbon tires (with the yellow sidewalls) and they were utterly dead and felt really slippery when it got wet.
Gators are great training tires.
