September Swims

~200m swim upstream, touch an East End/I-265 Bridge piling.
Swim downstream ~8 miles to the Big Four Bridge and touch a piling.
Swim ~500m mostly easy upstream to the Louisville Public Boathouse docks.

Ohio River, .4-.5 mph current, water temp 79.

Equipment: Funky Trunks square-bottom suit, latex swim cap, mirrored Original Malmsten Swedish goggles.

Nutrition: 2 bottles of Gatorade, 6-7oz Gevalia mocha cold latte, one Clif chew cube, 1 Clif bar, one bite of a Lara bar.

I swam with a subgroup of 4 others, with several 3-5 min breaks to eat or talk strategy/routes. The last bit was also an easy kick set. Took a bit over 4 hrs.
