Anybody running the 26 x 1.35 CX Pros on a hard-tail mountain bike for cross season? Thoughts on its performance or maybe different suggestion for a 26' tire for cross season?

This will be my first season of Cross this fall and plan on using the old mountain bike for the season to see how many races I get in before investing in a new steed. I know .... I know, just buy a cross bike. But, with 2 kids going off to college to soon, watching the pennies!

Obviously will be racing in the Cat 4 Category. Any input on racing AG (40 - 45 Cat 4) or open Cat 4?
