Have you read his autobiography.."Four MInute Mile"? Read it on my honeymoon sitting on the beach in Bora Bora....between glances up and around at all the half naked French and Aussie chicks laying around. Easy, fun read though..interesting that he was somewhat emersed in med school at the time if I remember right, while training off and on, also I think was one of the first to start incorporating hard intervals into his training. Seems if I remember right he would go pretty long strectches where he couldnt do much training because of his school schedule, studies etc.
