Riding IMAZ course sat again
Hey, we had fun riding last week-end, I want to do it again. Despite the fact that I had 3 flat tires, it was nice. thanks to some nice slowtwitch guys to help me out and to Brian to drive me back. (still got 3:51 in thank god) anyone interested in doing this again this coming saturday? btw, my bike is fixed so hopefully no more flats :-)

How the hell do you get three flat tires?

...also, how long does it take you to get to the peak of the last hill before the "descent" back to Tempe--its at about the 38 mile point. ...and then how long to get back to the start (18 miles).

I'll need to be done at 10am. If we can clip in at 7am, I'm there.

I suggested 7am only because I care. Before you know it the sun will be up at 5am......just trying to get you guys adjusted.

7:30-8:00 clip in, no problem.

Marisol--why the flats. Are the roads that bad?

I lived in Tempe/Phoenix for 6 years and I'm curious which roads the course is on. Anyone care to give me a breakdown?

Thx

the flats.. well I wasn't sure why until I went to the bike shop after the ride.. the guys made fun of me because I can't "bunny hop" over bumps and everytime I'd hit one, i'd flat.. turned out I had a little piece of metal in the tire.. fixed that, blew again.. turned out the rim tape wasn't overlapped and it was broke so the tube was hitting the spoke when I went over bumps... I am lucky I made it 3:51 and even more lucky that brian was drving behind us and drove me back (after using all my tubes and having no one with 650's)

I'd still like to ride the course. So same bat time, same bat place this saturday?

U guys ride road bikes or tri bikes?

Also, how long of a ride do u plan?

She told desertdude and myself to continue on after her first flat. We declined as leaving a girl on the side of the road with a flat tire would have been bad manners and horrible for our reputations.

but then she left me alone and frightened on the road as she got a ride back w/ Brian! :-(

To whom ever asked, it's about 50-50 road to tri bike.
