looking at this, i m not really concern with your hand.

what i notice is your a little low in the water...butt sinking, back not out of the water. That is position in the water....to be on top of the water would produce a lots less drag.

but what would be telling is a underwater shot.....

i would be carefull yp pull any conclusion before having the full story
