I'm looking at trying my hand at painting either a Giro Advantage 2 or a Bell Meteor II. So far, the only helmets I've painted have been Rudy Project Sytons, which have the detachable rubber ear pieces, so there was never an issue with painting those. However, on the Giro or Bell, they have flexible plastic ear covers, and I'm envisioned some potential paint cracking there from taking the helmet on or off

So, has anyone painted this style of helmet? Are my suspicions correct, and if so, what kind/brand of paint and topcoat would you recommend to allow the paint to give a little bit?
